Changed back to single coil. Disconnected the four Yamaha R6 coil coppers, and installed the stock Toyota coil together with an new distributor cap and rotor. I still had some plug wires laying around, so that was no problem.
I made this decision due to the bad cold starts in the morning. At the moment we do see temps from about -10°Celsius and lower. With this temps the car really is having problems with starting. I tried richen her up, or leaning her out, advanced timing, what ever, nothing helped. From memory, I thought those starting problems were not present before the CDI, so I suspect the Autronic CDI.
Anyway, after swapping this evening, the car fired up right away, so I wil find out soon.
So now and then I had the error 43 coming up too. Lets see what happens now. If problems are gone now, I am going to remove the CDI from the car and keep ignition stock.
Had a little problem since I removed the 43K resistor in the tacho, now the tacho did not work. Luckily I had some resistors laying around. Found one from 47K Ohm, but it is okay now. Tacho is working fine.
