A pic of the engine with the measuring instrument, needed to see when maximum lift is achieved. And needed to check the real timing with 1 mm valvelift, according to the HKS install sheet. We found out that it is very difficult to achieve the exact specs, for maximum lift, and timing with 1mm lift. Remember, 1 cam degree is 2 degrees at the crank... Finally we installed the cams like HKS is telling us, and we ended with: Exhaust cam gear: 6.75° retarded. Intake cam gear: 1.75° retarded. |
